In 2013 I had my first cancer journey -- renal cell -- and had my left kidney removed. All continues well there Fast forward to July 2021 when a brain and skull tumor was found by my eye doctor. The tumor and affected skull pieces were removed -- nonmalignant. Six months later my January 2022 mammogram revealed invasive lobular breast cancer and ductal in situ! In February 2022 I had a bilateral mastectomy. Although I will continue hormone therapy targeted toward recurrence prevention, I currently am NED -- no evidence of disease.
