Welcome to My Personal Page
Hi! Thanks for visiting my Walks for Cancer page. I hope you consider joining me and my family for a casual walk on May 3 to support all the great work within the ProHealth Cancer Team.
I am Briana Stover, 42 years old, and I live in Hartland with my husband, Mike, and our two children, Max and Maggie. I work as a reading interventionist for the Waukesha School District.
In October 2022, I visited our work Prohealth Medical clinic to have a lump checked on my neck. Fast forward to November 2022, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and began treatment that same month. By April 2023, I received the miraculous news of clear scans.
I am deeply grateful to my entire medical team for the exceptional care I have received throughout this journey. From the very beginning, I was supported by compassionate and dedicated professionals who guided me every step of the way—from the nurse practitioner who initially listened to my concerns, to the biopsy teams, my nurse navigator who was always available, my oncology team and cancer counselors who worked together to uncover my diagnosis, develop my treatment plan, and help me navigate each treatment. At every stage, I consistently felt seen, heard, and validated. Every team member took the time to not only care for my physical health but also to ensure my emotional well-being as a person, a mother, and a wife. Their genuine concern and unwavering support made all the difference in my journey, and I am profoundly appreciative of the care they provided—and continue to provide—as we monitor my health moving forward.
My cancer is one that is treatable, though not curable, so I am incredibly fortunate to have a team that will continue to support me for years to come.
It is an honor to serve as an ambassador for this year’s Prohealth Walks for Cancer. The impact of cancer reaches far beyond the individual, touching so many lives. I have been inspired by the strength of those around me in their own journeys and hope to share a fraction of that strength and encouragement with others.
If you are looking for an excuse to be outside and walking for a cause, come join us on May 3!
Thank you!!
