Welcome to My Page
My cancer story started in October 2023 when a polyp was found during an exam. The polyp results came back as precancerous and I had the choice of a hysterectomy or closely monitoring the situation. I chose to have a hysterectomy and was referred to a gynecologic oncologist who told me the odds of having cancer were about 4 in 10. I had my hysterectomy in January 2024. When I woke up from surgery I was told they found cancer. My diagnosis was stage 2 endometrial cancer. I was fortunate that my treatment was 28 radiation treatments and that I did not need chemo. On April 25th it will be one year since I finished treatments and I'm doing well.
After my treatments ended I was still struggling with side affects and my oncologist referred me to cancer PT where I met an amazing therapist who told me about Beat Cancer Boot Camp. I've been going to boot camp once a week since September and have met a wonderful group of cancer survivors.
The Walks for Cancer raises money to help with cancer research, treatments, new equipment, assistance for patients and their families and more. All donations go directly to these causes (administrative costs are covered by the registration cost) and stay in our community. These donations can literally save lives.
Please consider joining my team and walking with me in Mukwonago (Park Walk) or making a donation to help me reach my goal of $250. Even $10 or $15 can go a long way.
