This year it has been 13 years since my metastatic melanoma diagnosis. I am still here because of the Walks for Cancer. It was funds from these walks that provided a clinical trial which gave me hope against a tough disease. After losing my husband last year to pancreatic cancer, I realize even more the importance of clinical trials because there were none available for him. Funds raised by these walks touch many people in many ways. It truly can mean saving your neighbor's or your friend's or family member's life.
