2024 ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer Team Captain Information
Team captains are a vital part of the Walks for Cancer. They ensure the success of the Walks by forming teams, motivating team members to fundraise, and encouraging friends and family to register and donate. We are so grateful to our team captains, and want to share some information to help you succeed if you decide to lead your own team.
Step 1: Create and grow your team
Creating a team is very simple! The first step in our registration process is joining or forming a team. To form a team, visit this page, type in a name for your team, choose how many people you want to join your team and set a fundraising goal. Complete your registration - don't forget to add your family members or friends if you are paying their registration fee!
Once you've registered as the team captain, other team members can find your team and join. Send messages through your Participant Center to recruit team members. If someone is unable to walk with you, ask them if they can support you or your team with a donation.
If you are the team captain of a corporate team, contact us to discuss invoicing options.
Step 2: Set a fundraising goal
We encourage you to set a fundraising goal for yourself and also for your team. You can log and adjust your individual and team goal as well as email family and friends to request donations through your Participant Center.
Participants can earn prizes when they raise $125, $250, $500 or $1,000.
Step 3: Encourage your team
Help your team members personalize their fundraising pages. Share with your team why you want to form a team and participate in the Walks for Cancer. Suggest that they each use their email and social media tools to reach out to their family and friends to share their own reasons for walking this year.
Step 4: Pick up your T-shirts
As a team captain, you can pick up your team members' T-shirts all at once at any one of three locations.
- April 23 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, west entrance
- April 24 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital-Mukwonago, 2nd floor conference room (Door 23, near the upper level/cancer services parking)
- April 25 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, 1st floor
